(KRON) -- Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams's office announced a slew of charges brought against the 17-year-old suspect who was arrested for the deadly mass shooting that took place in the Spirit Halloween store in Fairfield at Solano Town Center on Friday night.

Charges include two counts of murder with a multiple murder special circumstance, three counts of attempted murder, three counts of assault with semi-automatic weapon and multiple gun enhancements. The teenager has a violent criminal record, according to the DA's office.

Police said the shooting, that happened around 8:30 p.m. the night before Halloween, was a targeted event during which the suspect opened fire on the intended target and hit several others in the vicinity. The shooting killed one and injured six. The woman who was killed was identified as 31-year-old Contance Hages, who was pregnant at the time.

Police arrested the suspect Monday at a home in Suisun City. Fairfield PD said the suspect had previously been arrested and detained for a shooting that occurred in 2025. The suspect surrendered peacefully on Monday, according to police.

He is due in juvenile court on Wednesday morning. Prosecutors are seeking to transfer the teenager's case from juvenile court to adult court.

"The Court will transfer the minor to Adult Court, if and only if, the Court finds by clear and convincing evidence that the minor is not amenable to rehabilitation while under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court," the Abrams's office said in a statement.

The DA's office also provided the suspect's name, but KRON4 will not publish it due to his age.
